Putin says forecasts more Panama leaks as Russian polls approach
MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- More leaks similar to the Panama Papers will be made as elections in Russia approach, President Vladimir Putin said Thursday during an annual Direct Line Q&A session.
“The closer the elections in Russia, the more such hearsays will be made. They (the instigators) must understand that the point is not in specific people, and households, whatever position in Russia they occupied, but in the country, which cannot be manipulated, and cannot be forced to dance to their tune. But if we are treated with respect, like we do, then we will always find a solution that satisfies everyone, us and partners,” he said.
Putin said that Sueddeutsche Zeitung, where the leaks were published, belongs to Goldman Sachs, which proves that the investigation was sponsored by U.S. officials.
